SAT Summer Camps! So much more fun than anyone expected!

Everyone’s Ready!

This summer, Mugenn-Sensei Global Education held two, weeklong SAT Intensive Prep Summer Camps—one sleepaway study camp in Kagawa, Japan, and one daytime study camp in Wayne, NJ! Pioneer Academy was kind enough to let us use their beautiful facilities!

Of course, it was intensive and covered a great deal of material—but it was also fun! For one fast-paced week, teacher and students taught and studied hard—then we played and ate and talked and laughed.

We worked hard, and the days flew by!

Everyone came prepared with a little passion and the desire to master the SAT—no small task! That little bit of passion makes all the difference. You’ve got to be ready to take on the challenge of preparation even when it seems a little overwhelming.

That’s the benefit of starting early—you face the biggest challenges before it’s a crisis! We worked with everyone to make sure they were able to work through the toughest challenges now, not just a few days before the test—or even worse, DURING the test!

Working hard…

We brought the resources and the tools; students brought the passion and the will to prepare and go through the trials. There were lots of questions, lots of discussions and exchanges. We even had one-on-one sessions to discuss college ambitions and college essays for students who requested them.

But where we are very different from most other programs is our concern about balance—including mental and physical health.

There is always much more to learn, more to master, and more to strive for; and it’s important to have high hopes, a powerful work ethic, and great ambitions. However, we need down time and we need SELF time. You’ll never be a great success (for long) if you push yourself too far and sacrifice too much.

You need your sleep.

You need your de-stress outlets.

You need your exercise.

You need to eat well.

You need to reward yourself for your successes.

You also need healthy relationships.

Always remember: These foundational mental needs are STAGE ONE of creating successful study habits and building confidence for your future goals. Everything else will be easier with good mental and physical health.

All done!

We were all very proud of all the students, their positivity, their hard work, and their accomplishments. After the camp in Kagawa, Japan (a beautiful town with so much great food), we celebrated with a small barbecue. We are grateful to our amazing staff who prepared the grill and the fare! (That’s a good SAT word: “fare”!) We will try to do the same for the US participants as well next year!

Everybody loves barbecue!

We hope to see you there!
